The Story

A reproduction of the Thor’s Hammer found in 1828 in the Moheda parish, in Småland, Sweden. The hammer was part of a larger treasure that was placed in a clay urn and buried. The original find is today located at the Småland County Museum in Växjö, Sweden. The original hammer was found with a ring. Stamping triangles was a common way of decorating jewelry during the Viking Age.
