This Viking Age bowl is based on a find in Valbo, Gästrikland in Sweden. Just as the original, it is decorated with four horizontal lines. The bowl is wholly hand-made without a potter’s wheel, just as the original was made over 1000 years ago.
In order to make it more durable and easier to clean, it’s made with a with a matte glazing inside. This allows it to be washed in a dish washer and it can also withstand a microwave oven.
